Many times you are interested in buying only a single song especially if you do not like the remaining songs in the album.  However, buying a single song offline can be expensive, as the costs are almost the same for the song producer.

Buying a song online is cheaper and there are many online marketplaces and stores where you can make a purchase. These include ebay, itunes , fye and amazon.

Music format

While saving music in digital format , the size of the file is a consideration.  If greater accuracy is required, the size of the music file is usually more and so fewer songs are stored on the music player.

Compared to .wav files, .mp3 files are more suitable for music file storage.  The bit rate should be more than 128, preferably 190 and above.

Refurbished iPods

If  you do not have enough funds to buy a new iPod, you can purchase a refurbished iPod .   The prices are significantly lower, and they usually come with a warranty from  Apple .  Many buyers use them for several years without any problem.

iPod song storage

The 8 GB Ipod Touch has a song storage of  approximately 1,750 songs . The average length of a song is 4 minutes, usually less.

So the total length of the songs stored on a 8GB IPod Touch is about 7000 minutes.  For larger storage capacities like 16GB or 32 GB, the song storage increases proportionately.
